the sea

the wind, the sea, the moon and stars
what joy should ever mend my blazing scars
when ripplets blur the ancient mind
and dying souls in every breeze
unheard, are fading into words of mindful
guests untold in years to come, to pass
and no mens end expound in reason
lest ships of hopeful fervour, steadyness
come crawling, clinging to my tears
if thoughts will echo swaying consciousness
in silence, sinking to the endless ground
shall never be forgotten in your hands in
every pebble washed ashore, so cast it
to the sea in time and harvest quietude
for in every distant gust, behold the glister
as a last salute - as I shall no longer
hold my soothing grip and drown
